The practice of
law is a discipline requiring extensive study, continuing education, and (for
most practicing attorneys) continued exposure to our court system.
The practice of law is such that specific, individualized, questions
cannot properly be addressed in this type of forum (e.g. e-mail) since the
questions are, by their abbreviated nature, without necessary factual knowledge
as to each specific situation, and there does not exist the opportunity for the
attorney to ask
appropriate questions.
This
notwithstanding, there are various general legal concepts and principles which
are easily understandable - even to the lay public, e.g.: The structure of
our court systems (federal and state); the classification of, and relationship
between, our laws - constitutional, statutory and common law as well as civil
vs. criminal and legal vs. equitable; as well as the jurisdiction of the various
courts. It is for these questions of a general nature ONLY which this page is
designed. Should you wish more specific, individualized, answers to legal questions,
please use the appropriate form. [Contact
